The Federal Open Market Committee still hasn't increased the federal funds rate but that hasn't stopped banks from increasing deposit rates. There is a new best savings account rate on the rate list at 1.24 percent with an APY of 1.25 percent from My Savings Direct.

Last month the top rate was 0.20 percent lower at 1.04 percent with an APY of 1.05 percent. My Savings Direct had been offering that rate and Synchrony Bank continues to do so. You can view the top variable rates on savings accounts and money market accounts below.
