We have a new high for variable deposit rates on this week's deposit rate report. North American Savings Bank now has the best overall deposit rate on the rate list at 1.11 percent with an APY of 1.12 percent.

The former highest rate was from EverBank at 0.61 percent with an APY of 1.11 percent. The EverBank rate has a six month bonus rate of 1.60 percent with an ongoing rate of 0.61 percent, which is why the APY for the first year is 1.11 percent.
