Lender’s Rates – Lowest 30 Year Conforming Mortgage Rates at 3.375 Percent
Average 30 year mortgage rates are down 4 basis points from last week's average rate to 3.78 percent. The lowest 30 year mortgage rates available on the rate table remain at 3.375 this week which is much lower than where rates were forecast to be late in 2015.
The Fed meets this week and is expected to keep the fed funds rate at the current level of zero percent to one quarter percent. The Fed's decision to hold off on a rate hike will keep mortgage rates near current levels for the rest of this year and into early 2016.
Average 15 year mortgage rates are at 2.84 percent, a decline from the prior week's average rate of 2.87 percent.
Average 5 year adjustable rates are at 3.17 percent, up from last week's average of 3.12 percent.
30 year jumbo rates are averaging 4.15 percent, down sharply from the previous week's average rate of 4.31 percent.
15 year jumbo rates are averaging 3.87 percent, down from an average rate of 3.99 percent last week.
