Two Banks Increase 1 Year Certificate of Deposit Rates to 1.17% APY

Just last week we had a new top 1 year certificate of deposit rate because Sallie Mae Bank increase their 1 year CD rates to 1.14 percent with an APY of 1.15 percent.

This week two more banks have increased their 1 year certificate of deposit rates and they now have the top CD rate on our 1 year rate list. Bank Direct, a division of Texas Capital Bank, and Congressional Bank have increased their 1 year CD rates to 1.16 percent with an APY of 1.17 percent.  We now have 18 bank CD rates on 1 year certificates of deposit at or above 1.00 percent.
